"Chute Libre" was an short-lived French jazz supergroup to the Funk/Rock accents influenced by Weather Report and Herbie Hancock & his Headhunters. "Chute Libre" was formed by popular jazz session musicians including Patrice Cinélu (eg), Mino Cinélu (ds, per) from Gong, Olivier Hutman (keys), Denis Barbier (fl), Éric Letourneux & Pierre-Jean Gidon (sax), all former members of short-lived prog-rock student band "Moravagine". Their second and last album "Ali Baba" which was released the following year, is more jazz rock than "Spasmolune". Titles include heavy funk (Black Sweat, Jerba), Brazilian fusion (Flauçerto), caribbean sounds (Sainte Bernadette, Jeremy) or Space-Age Funk (Spasmolune).
