Sadakazu Tabata - Smash In The Rock

"Smash In The Rock" is a tribute to Rock 'N' Roll recorded by jazz & rock drummer Sadakazu Tabata. Introduced by the voice of Katsuya Kobayashi, a famous Japanese radio DJ (best known under the Mr. Music nickname), it includes various classic rock songs from Elvis Presley (Love Me Tender), Led Zeppelin (Moby Dick), blues standard by Freddie King (Hide Away) and originals compositions by Hiro Yanagida (SmashHis Salad Day's). Former member of the Jiro Inagaki's Soul Media, Sadakazu Tabata is a session musician who played in particular for japanese Blues/Folk Rock songstress Maki Asakawa and jazz pianist Masao Yagi. Sadakazu Tabata plays with the "Groovy 6" formed by the rock avant-garde organist, Hiro Yanagida, Masaru Imada from the Soul Media, Masaoki Terakawa (in groups George Otsuka Trio, The Count Buffalos, The Beat Generation) & Shigeo Suzuki (sideman for Terumasa Hino & Takeshi Inomata).
